We measure the opening and inspect the frame, surrounding finishes and access before recommending a replacement. Your quote identifies the frame material, glazing and opening style. Any change to the structural opening is assessed and quoted separately.
Window supply and installation arrangements
Tell us whether you need window supply included or already have a window. We check the product specification and opening dimensions before confirming the installation arrangements. For custom-made aluminium windows with flyscreens, tell us whether you need both supplied and fitted.
Removal, fitting and making good
During the assessment, we identify the removal, disposal, flashing, sealing and finishing work and set out the arrangements in your quote. Installation-only work and a complete window replacement are scoped separately so you can compare the work and cost.
When a repair may be sufficient
We inspect sticking sashes, worn fittings and frame condition to explain whether repair or replacement suits your window. We discuss deterioration, any design changes and the finish you want before you order a replacement.
Your installation quote
Once we agree the installation scope, we provide a written quote setting out the materials, labour and work. We explain the arrangements for window supply, old-window removal and disposal, sealing, and internal and external finishing, including what is included and what is priced separately.
What Affects the Quote?
Window size and type, glazing, height, opening preparation and internal or external finishing affect the quote.
Can an old window be replaced within the existing opening?
A replacement can be assessed against the opening dimensions, wall construction and surrounding condition. We confirm the frame, glazing and opening style before agreeing removal and installation. Changes to the structural opening require separate assessment.
Should a sticking timber window be repaired or replaced?
The frame, hardware and extent of damage need checking before that decision. A serviceable window may suit repair; extensive deterioration may make replacement more appropriate. We assess the existing condition and confirm the proposed scope.
What details matter for an upstairs window replacement?
The storey level, access and wall construction affect the installation plan. Glazing and elevated work require qualified people and suitable controls. Energy, bushfire or heritage requirements may also affect product selection and must be checked where applicable.
