Discuss your survey brief
Tell us whether you need boundary information, existing features or levels for a design. The intended use determines the survey scope. A measured feature plan is not automatically confirmation of the legal boundary.
Include available plans and the area being changed, if you have them. We agree the deliverable and any access requirements before the work. A fence location, building design and approval process may need different survey information.

Surveyors service guide

The requested survey must specifically address boundary location where that is needed. Boundary and cadastral work require appropriately registered or licensed surveyors; an existing fence position is not sufficient evidence.
